The ideas and possibilities outlined below are designed to help members of the local community as they think about what could happen on this site. Nothing is fixed and alternative solutions may well emerge over the coming decade - it is for the local community to decide and enable it to happen.

1.	Visual Attributes - update 2004 This thin triangular piece of land is situated on the junction where New Road meets Manchester Road. The site slopes up from a retaining wall on the north edge which runs along Manchester Road, to the pavement of New Road, which is bounded by a concrete post and metal rail fence. Shrubs, including snowberry and elder, line this fence. The site is comprised of woodland (mainly ash), with a ground layer dominated by ivy, which has climbed up some of the mature ash trees on the west side of the site. Here there is also an area that has been fenced off with chicken wire, containing the remnants of a tree house and an old swing.
Safety The site is situated on the main road and feels safe, although its position and density of vegetation deters public use. Activities that the site supports at present The site is used for the tipping of garden waste.	2.
3.	Activities that could be supported in the future Some woodland ground flora could be planted for visual interest. Its position right next to the main road makes it undesirable for public activity.
	Ideas for change This triangular site needs tidying up and clearing of wind-blown rubbish in winter on a regular basis. It is suggested that the need for tree surgery of individual trees which overhang the road should be investigated.
