Nothing is fixed and alternative solutions may well emerge over the coming decade - it is for the local community to decide and enable it to happen. 1. Visual
Attributes - update 2004 This
site consists of two segments of mown amenity grass
surrounded by housing, bounded along the south by
Fox Glen Road and divided by Heath Road. The only
features of interest on this site are four trees,
including cherry, and a bench on the west area of
grass, which faces onto the road. A pile of
temporary road works signs and barriers is
currently dumped on site near the bench. Safety The
site feels safe, with plenty of surveillance
provided by surrounding houses and passing vehicles
and pedestrians. Activities
that the site supports at
present The
site is sometimes walked across. The bench is
rarely used, with an odd position facing the
road. 2. Activities
that could be supported in the
future The
amount of amenity grass could be reduced, replacing
it with other less maintenance intensive (and much
more aesthetically pleasing) plants. The position
of the bench could be altered, maybe placing it
back from the roadside. Ecology
