Nothing is fixed and alternative solutions may well emerge over the coming decade - it is for the local community to decide and enable it to happen. 1. Visual
Attributes - update 2004 The
school grounds are situated to the south of the
school buildings and are surrounded by housing,
bounded by shrubs and trees. A flat playing field
sits above an attractive undulating grass slope,
with trees planted individually and in groups,
including cherry, hawthorn, silver birch and copper
beech. A hard surfaced playground is located on the
east side of the school. This
site, within the school grounds and overlooked by
housing, feels very safe. Activities
that the site supports at
present The
site's main use is obviously for school sports
activities and outdoor events, such as school galas
and sports days. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Activities
that could be supported in the
future The
unmown edges could be widened, providing more space
for wildlife on site. An area could be set aside as
a wildlife or vegetable garden for educational use.
Some imaginative play features could also be
incorporated on site. Ecology
